Tour Overview...

Not everybody interested in Orca whales enjoy camping in a tents. The Orca Lodge is a three days and three nights sea kayaking experience designed around comfortable accommodation in Telegraph Cove.  Rooms are large and private ensuring a good nights sleep.

Telegraph Cove Kayaking

Each day we venture out into the waters of Johnstone Strait to experience the unique spirit of the area by sea kayak.

Each day the weather and the wildlife will combine to offer us an experience that you can only get during the summers in these pristine waters.

Each day eagles, harbour seals, and otter are seen at close range.

Because each day is valuable we monitor the movement of the salmon to ensure that we do not miss any wildlife experience that might occur.

We paddle along rugged shorelines visiting secluded beaches and hike to vantage points for the awesome views.

These locations are selected to give us the greatest opportunity to see resident Orca in their natural habitat.

Often if we are fortunate enough we could not only observe the passage of the Orca but perhaps observe them socializing and playing.

Lodge Based Kayak Tour

If salmon or halibut fishing appeals to you, this option can be arranged with enough notice. In addition to the whales, this area is spectacular. The early morning view of glaciers and snow capped peaks bring a sense of tranquility to ones spirit. Mt. Stephens is easily the most panoramic mountain in this view. This area is one of British Columbia's best kept secrets and is yours to enjoy. Individuals, couples and families have all enjoyed these experiences.

Here is what has been said about this tour:

"Accommodations were great, whales were fantastic and the hospitality that you showed us should not be kept a secret. We are sending our friends your way. Many, many thanks." - Jessica & Frank Todd, Mobile, Alabama
